Sorry if it is a rookie question, never done a barrel swap or owned a Glock, so is it possible to put a .40 barrel on a G19.
I know that you can swap .40 and .357 SIG, but I wasn't sure if you could go from a 9 to .40 (not sure if the frame is big enough).
Again, I appoligize for the softball, but hey, what a great way to learn!

I don't think so. I've seen conversions from .40 to 9mm, but not the other way around. Wouldn't the barrel be too thin if you tried getting an inside diameter for .40 in a 9mm sized barrel? There are already complaints of regular Glock .40's going kB, I wouldn't tempt fate....

sorry, maybe I need to look at it this way, is it possible to put a 9mm barrel on a G-23. Can I buy one Glock and a barrel and get two calibers, .40 and 9mm.

That you can do. Go here: www.glockmeister.com. They have a conversion barrel that will allow you to practice with 9mm in a .40 Glock. You might have to change a couple other parts in addition to the barrel however (for proper extraction). But it's definitely do-able.

Edited to add: Whoops, seems like the KKM barrel is only for the fullsized Glocks, not the compacts.

Its more of a problem than just barrel diameter, too: headspace and extractors wouldn't be right, either. (When they have conversion barrels, they adjust them so that these issues are taken care off.)
