Is that a BB gun you have? (OCing)

Back when I OC my old Springfield 1911 I had a few people ask if it was a BB gun. The again it was OD green so I can see where someone could have thought that.

Hey NavyLT, that's a cool story, I love it when stuff like that happens to me, which is almost never, but has happened. Here's one useful tip that I learned not that long ago while working at the Merchant Customer Service center of a major bank. It's against Visa and Mastercard (and likely Discover and AMEX) merchant regulations for them to put a "minimum amount" on any card purchase. They can actually get their merchant privileges suspended. This was a pretty big no no that we had to stress to people when I was working there.
I've seen several places that have a "Minimum Purchase" requirement when using a credit card, and I usually don't say anything, but there have been times when I've been tempted to let them know. I can see why they do it though, the fees they pay for credit card service can be pretty high at times, and alot of times they barely make a profit from Credit Card sales...

And to keep this long winded post gun related, I'd like to say that I sincerely hope that Florida passes some Open Carry legislation (along with some Campus CCW laws) in the future, as I would like to practice both of those rights sometime.

why be so up tight, you are OC'n so you then clearly dont mind people staring or saying things.
I wasn't uptight. I already explained why I didn't go into further detail with her.

You really need to have a talk with your wife.
I made sure while we were eating how comments like that need to be kept to ourselves when dealing with the public and how with friends and family it's a different story.

One long boring response about grammar or something
Oh...ok.

one thing I have learned in my limited culinary experience is that burrito/taco filling is much better made at home. I make it large batches and freeze it one pound containers (re-used butter containers and so on) to use later on.
if your going out to eat I suggest something besides fast food joints unless in a dreadful rush.
maybe the wifee was takeing a swipe at you for bringing her into that place?

Ct open carry requires the wearing of shinny bracelets and a police escort. or a badge-of-power

You forgot the period at the end of "something".

You also apparently don't know when your thread is being made fun of.

I'll try to be more obvious next time.

Mmmmm, Chipotle's......chicken burrito with smoked chipotle Tabasco sauce, and a side of chips and guacamole......

That is pretty funny. I imagine it would be hard not to laugh at the cashier for saying it. I'm guessing your wife just didn't want her acquaintance, the cashier, to feel stupid about it.

Thanks for being willing to educate the community by open carrying.

You also apparently don't know you were not funny. No one cared. Thanks for playing.
