Is the Beretta Pico on sale yet? Why not?

I've been reading articles about the Beretta Pico since the first half of 2013. It's been on Beretta's website for a long time. Yet as far as I can tell, it's not actually on sale yet. Has there been some sort of delay or hold-up, and if so, do we know what it is? Or am I mistaken and it's actually on sale?

And if it is on sale, any owners here at THR?

Not in the stores yet. Apparently Beretta has adopted Kel-Tec's business model.

It's not on sale yet. From what I've read, the delays are because of durability issues with the polymer frame. I believe the are having problems with them developing cracks. I handle one at the Outdoors Expo in Pa last week and the one's they had on display had outstanding triggers. If the production guns have triggers that light and smooth I'll be adding one as soon as I can get my hands on it.

I'm really wanting a Pico badly or at least to try it out. Reviews of pre production guns has been really good and the videos make it look like something I'd really like as a BUG and pocket gun. Especially in the .32 option as I reload both .32 and .380.

Rumor is that it will be released 2nd quarter of 2014 but I have been waiting so long now I certainly don't wanna get my hopes up.

I really enjoyed the videos of the Pico from SHOT. Gimme one!! It's the last gun on my Bucket List!!
