I found this on GlockTalk.
I guess if they Sidearmor charge your credit card it's a good deal for them.

Who got in on the great deal from Sidearmor?

I know a bunch of us ordered from Sidearmor when they had the free mag carrier deal going. I'm just wondering if people have received their orders. I placed my order on July 2nd and my card was charged on the 6th. I know they said it would take about 4 weeks so I haven't been worried.

However, it has now been almost 7 weeks and I'm beginning to wonder if my order didn't fall through the cracks. I sent an email to Sidearmor with a copy of the order confirmation 4 days ago and haven't heard back from them so I thought I'd see if others received their orders.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Yeah ordered an owb hoslter, the camo one that was on clearance for my 19. They charged my card buy have not shipped it. I would not really worry about it though. Not sure about the mag holder.

Nice post, too bad is it only half the story.

Sidearmor is an very small upstanding company and Patricia who handles their customer service has stated many times that the sale had an overwhelming response, far more than they anticipated and that set them back quite a bit from the 2-3 week time frame they quoted during sale. Also figure in that a couple of huge contract orders came through right in the middle of this and recently Patricia hurt herself and has been laid up and when you run a 3 person business only running on 2/3'ds of your work force will slow you down even more.

She has made no attempt to hide what has happened nor complicate things by passing bad info about actual order progress. If the wait has become too unbearable she will happily and promptly refund your money no questions asked and no headaches about it.

This is simply a matter where they tried to something nice with the sale and it blew up in their face. Accidents happen and it's not like they have tried to hide it.

Well here is the other what ever

Posted at GlockTalk.

Sure don't wish to only give half (1/2) of the story.

Don't worry guys Sidearmor has just been really backed up.

I ordered mine on 6/28 and it came the other day. Patricia is a good friend of mine and has not hid the fact the sale swamped them more than they anticipated, between this having a few huge contract orders to fill and Patricia hurting herself recently they are having a heck of a time getting caught up. Looking at your order dates I would say your orders will be shipping soon but drop Sidearmor an e-mail and they can tell you how much longer it will be for sure.

Like I said, I'm not too worried about the wait. The post was to see if my wait was normal or something I should be concerned about. Seeing as that others are still waiting, I'm put at ease that my order didn't fall through the cracks.

I'm fairly patient and I know that Sidearmor has been doing brisk business. I can wait a little longer for a great product at a great price.

We were doing pretty well earlier this week at getting caught up. However, I hurt my neck and shoulder, went to the doc, and got some pretty strong painkillers. So strong that most of this week has been a blur. We shipped a bunch of stuff today, and will continue all through next week. I haven't sent out the tracking info on order shipped yet today, but hope to either later this evening or tomorrow sometime.

I'm never happy about shipping delays but I'm hoping that most people will understand that my situation this week could not be avoided. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm very sorry for your injury. I understand that these things happen and would not want you risking a timely recovery just to get me a holster. But if you feel you need to make it up to me, you could ship some of those painkillers along with the order. I wish last week was a blur to me...

919- Is that as in Honda 919? If so, how do you like the bike? I've been looking at a couple at the local stealership. It's a nice looking ride!

Also, we have stopped all production of holsters. Sorry. NO HOLSTER FOR YOU! COME BACK, ONE YEAR!

NEXT!

Feel free to continue to give us money though. We like that!

i know most of ya aren't concerned but lemme mention...

Sidearmor is a company made of only a few people. if one of them gets knocked out for a few days, bad things are bound to happen.

i'm sure you'll get your stuff in short order, and be extremely satisfied with the product!

(I meant to order a couple weeks after i got outta school, but the bills are piling up....*sigh*)

Sidearmor is a reputable and well respected company by most.
It is also well known for its product quality and customer loyalty.

Other than wasting bandwidth here, what is the point of your post???;)

I agree

SideArmor is a quality Mfg. of holsters. I bought a 4th Edt. for my Glock. I was just re-posting what others have posted about having their credit cards charged and then having to wait and wait and wait. Without getting their e-mails answered or having their phone messages returned. Only when someone posts about their problems. Do they get a reply from Sidearmor. This is what I went through and many others have faired the same. When Sidearmor went to the Shot Show they did not even leave a message telling people what was going on. This really POed a lot of people waiting for their orders and having their credit cards charged. I have delt with a lot of gun stuff and holster sites over the past so many years. Most do not charge your credit card untill they intend to ship your order. I did have one person who had our service men and women who needed their orders and they were pushed ahead of my order after my credit card was charged. This I could understand because it happened after my order had started. I am not trying to waste bandwidth "wow"!! But I do think the facts should be posted. Someone said I only posted half the story so I re-posted the rest.:) Again Sidearmor great products. Their service policies not as great. IMHO.

I placed an order on June 22nd which finally shipped on the 11th and I received on Monday. I'm guessing your July 2nd order should ship pretty soon.

Your card gets charged automatically by the website when you place your order online.

If you do not want your card charged until the item ships, call your order in at 928-526-4379.

BS :cuss:

Damn near every holster company I have dealt with does this same practice. Comp-Tac, Blade-Tec, FIST, Galco, Tucker, Kramer, etc... all billed my card up front.

and just to clarify things about Sidearmor not returning calls, e-mails etc.. Every time I leave message I get a call back within a day usually barring if I leave a message on Friday then they call me back Monday.

There was a thread on GT after the 2004 SHOT Show where some impatient guy sent an e-mail to Sidearmor on Thursday morning but the Sidearmor crew was already on the road to Vegas. Before Patricia left she had every call back and e-mail responded to up to late Wednesday night. This guy throws a fit because by Friday he did get a reply, then of course internet mass histeria sets in and everyone who e-mailed or called after Wed. night was freaking out.

Someone told Patricia what was happening on GT while they were at SHOT and she hunts down an internet connection to let everyone know what was going on (How many companies would have responded like that when they were in the middle of SHOT?)

Anyhow to sum it all up it was nothing more than a few impatient folks expecting a response 15 minutes after their inquiry was sent. Hell even if they had to wait 2-3 business days for response that is still a hell of a lot better than what most other companies are averaging. I sent Trijicon an e-mail 4 weeks ago, it just came back this past Thursday, I sent Kleerdex an e-mail 6 weeks ago that has yet to get a response and both of these companies have a customer service departments!! With Sidearmor it is just Patricia so you can't expect a reply within a few minutes or expect one over a weekend.

BBW--

Just to set the record straight Milt Sparks does not charge your cc until the order ships unless it is a special order, which they may then charge a non-refundable deposit.
You may verify the above by going to the Milt Sparks website www.miltsparks.com and navigating to the "ordering" instructions.

As best I can tell, Comp-Tac did not charge my card until they shipped. That said, I think they shipped the same day I ordered it, so the point it moot.

Best wishes to Patricia, I hope she mends well.

When you order from CT's site you are directed to PayPal to pay for your purchase and when you use PayPal to pay someone the funds are removed from your account at the time of ordering. Yes they do ship quickly so it really is not a big deal but what if Comp-Tac gets to the ordering level Sidearmor has? Will we see complaints against CT for the same practice if they get to a point where wait times are the norm or is this just a flimsy excuse to pick on Sidearmor when this practice is rather common in the industry?
