Well, I haven't pulled one to look but if it is a faithful M193 knockoff the answer is both.
It is a boattail spitzer. The boattail is the back end, the spitzer is the front end.

It is a FMJ/BT, which by definition is a spitser bt. Spitser(however it is spelled) means "pointed".
