Is there a compact version of the Buck 119 fixed blade special?

The normal 119 has a 6 inch blade. Is there a smaller version out there, I need a good camping/fishing knife.

The Buck 110 or 112 have similar blade profiles, though I don't know if a folder is up your alley. They are, obviously, smaller and in my experience more comfortably carried in a belt sheath much like a fixed blade.

Buck 102 Woodsman

hso called it.

I have this one.

Blade is four (4) inches long. Nice and slender. Will do a fine job as a bird & trout knife.

Interestingly, it costs more than the 119 Special. Go figure.

Now, Buck also does the 105 Pathfinder, which looks very like the 119 Special, but has a 5-inch blade.

I don't have one, so clearly I have to get one.

I have a small collection of Buck fixed blades, including the 102 (Woodsman), 105 (Pathfinder), and 119 (Special). hso is spot on, the blade profile of the 102 is very close to the 119. The 102 does have a much smaller handle, but for fishing and light camp chores would still be a good choice. Mine is an older one with the "fold-over" style sheath. I carry it on my belt on the weekends and in my gym bag during the week. (Have a job where a fixed blade on the belt is not appropriate.) The 105 has a larger handle, somewhere between the 102 and the 119. Best get yourself to a sporting goods store and fondle several.

Thanks all. I actually tried out the woodsman yesterday after it was suggested. It really is like a mini 119. I think its a bit small for my purposes (I need a good all around heavy duty camp knife that perhaps could double for fishing). The 105 seems like it would be perfect! Does wal mart carry it? Bucks at wal mart are ridiculously inexpensive I found out.

If Wal-Mart carries them, I have never seen them. Knife center does though. You can find them Here. They also have the 102, which is one inch less blade for a whole 2 dollars less.
