Does Beretta or Benelli make a semi-auto shotgun that is good for trap or skeet that can also take a shorter (18"-20") barrel and/or a pistol grip stock? I'm mostly a pistol person and am looking to get to the "do everything" (at least as close as I can) shotgun. I'm hoping to make one semi-auto purchase that will serve in the field/range and home defense.
Is there a Semi equivalent of a Mossberg 500?

If by "trap and skeet" you mean pasture clays, anything will do.
If by "trap and skeet" you mean at a club on formal layouts, then there are better choices for success
