I'm curious if anyone can point out to me any fairly detailed descriptions of non-victimless crimes committed with an NFA weapon or any select fire weapon or other "naughty" weapon in general.

By victimless crime, I mean mere possession or bad paperwork being filed or something like that. I'm looking for a case where someone was actually hurt and a real crime was committed.

Why? Mostly because I've never heard of one, but I remember reading something about a Ruger 556 being used in a killing once. Thank you in advance.

I'm only going to bother bringing up the machine gun deaths. There are only two that I've heard of, one which is one only if we believe the media saying that it's an actual machine gun.

The first is pretty widely known:

Since 1934, there appear to have been at least two homicides committed with legally owned automatic weapons. One was a murder committed by a law enforcement officer (as opposed to a civilian). On September 15th, 1988, a 13-year veteran of the Dayton, Ohio police department, Patrolman Roger Waller, then 32, used his fully automatic MAC-11 .380 caliber submachine gun to kill a police informant, 52-year-old Lawrence Hileman. Patrolman Waller pleaded guilty in 1990, and he and an accomplice were sentenced to 18 years in prison. The 1986 'ban' on sales of new machine guns does not apply to purchases by law enforcement or government agencies.

And this one which is under scrutiny (but probably correct):

I've heard of two cases; I think one was discovered by the NRA during the 1986 Congressional hearings on machine guns. ATF testimony, IIRC, said, "None."

We're talking legally registered full auto, here.

Home-grown full auto? I doubt anybody has any idea. It is known that the Black Panthers stole a fair number of M16s from USNG armories during the late 1960s.
