DS, not if you called your self a "weapons consultant", since posting I have seen people who actually do this , and have a business card from one. All you are doing is trying to fit the person with the proper gun, for which he has already been licensed by the state or federal Govt to posses.
If anything you are making them aware of the good and bad that a particular gun may be for that person, the ultimate choice is theirs. Also explaining how the firearm works, giving them more knowledge to make an informed decision, You are not making the decision for them.
Don't forget these are not gun people, they don't know a bonded hollow point from a stick. Or a double action from a single. They all of a sudden feel that they should have a gun, and that 's all they know.
