Yep, it will hold up to a huge number of 38 specials. It's just the wrong gun for the game referenced in the OP's post.

Agreed. My shooting USPSA is all about me shooting the gun I carry, and the gun I carry is a Ruger Redhawk. (6-shot revolver). I'd like to downsize to a 38, and have been looking for a Security Six off and on for years. I've finally given up. Thought this 19 would be a comparable gun.
