From the looks of the stock and magazine it may of gone through some conversion? You could buy a NIB from Russian-American Arms and do the conversion yourself and save. $440.00 for this rifle if you bought it out right rather than bid on it is high.

No, that is standard Saiga furniture on it.

Lots of vendors "add value" (and illegality) to their offerings with a "HIGH CAP MAGAZINE INCLUDED". As soon as you put it in your new rifle, you're violating the 922r.

If we are to assume that the furniture and other goodies were put on by the importer, here in america, then yes. If it came that way straight from russia, and that is russian made after parts, then no.

Making assumptions with federal law is never a fun game.

We see this come up on the saiga forum all the time (and gripe about it there). Vendors'll throw a new Master Molder mag in the box to 'sell their product', which is legal until the end user puts it in their factory rifle.

As I mentioned earlier, that is a factory Saiga. No US parts involved.

The add says the extended mag is available for an additional $40.00.

It also says that is a stock photo and the gun you are buying doesn't have dimples. What the hell are dimples?

First is a dimpled receiver Kalashnikov ( with chicken feet, too ). Second is a non-dimpled Saiga receiver.

Some people SWEAR THEY'RE BETTER because of the dimples (they think it means the receivers are military specification), when actually, the function is the same.
