Is this worth $10

If it isn’t rusted shut and I were wanting to get into loading shotshells, I’d give the guy $10.

I’d clean and check it, and reach out to MEC for the parts I thought I needed.

is it rusted bad or just really dirty?

Yes! Mecs are worth it! I paid 50
for one with no bottles and the bottle inserts slightly damaged missing spring n primer top ...always lol. But yes.. the way things are going ... the way I feel. Better to have and not need.. then to wish you had. And paid Shipping on another. Definitely worth it.

If it keeps you from buying a pack of smokes, or a fast food meal, it is. At least to your health.

I have one, if that’s a 600 jr (not used to looking at it from that angle), it was given to me. Works well, but they don’t seem to retain the value of even old single stage presses.

I would give $10 for it even if I just put it away.

I have 2 of the MEC 600 Jr. That's a very good price on the unit. A while back they were selling for ~$75 used. Have one setup for 12ga the other 20ga. Have not touched either of them in over a decade. My dad had retina degeneration which put a blind spot in the center where you normally would use to align sights. So all he could use was a shotgun. I kept him supplied for nearly 30 yrs.

I would definitely buy it for $10. Just one bottle costs more than that.

I looked up prices on MidwayUSA
6" bottles - $12.99 each
Single stage lead charge bar - $27.99

That is $54 worth of parts in just those three items if bought brand new.

The die set (if you wanted them for another press) is $109 new and a new complete MEC 600Jr press is $256.99

Parts are totally available and there is not much you can do to hurt them without a hammer, If you want to change it to a different gauge the dies alone cost nearly $100.00
