Is your mayor on this list?

I think I should point out that it is a list of mayors against "Illegal" guns, not guns in general.

I am against illegal guns....aren't you? I don't want gang bangers and cartel members or terrorists to have illegal guns. Round them up and lock em up. Then have a nice big police auction and sell the guns to law abiding citizens and make them "Legal" guns.

Bloomburg and Menino are the co-chairs of this 'foundation'. Do you really think they are only against 'illegal' guns? In their minds, all guns should be illegal, therefore they are against 'illegal' guns.

Go to the site and read about what they are. It says that they support the 2nd ammendment but Chicago's mayor is on the list and we know that he is all about taking your gus away!

Read the statement of principles on the site. There's the same AWB language about "lethal, military-style weapons" and hi cap mags.

My current mayor is not on the list, btw, so good for him.

Their name is deceiving, as most anti's like to be. Everyone is against "illegal" guns, but the only thing that makes guns "illegal" is if the serial number has been obliterated, rifle/shotgun cut down outside of ATF approval or something's been converted to full auto.

Other than that, it's still just people blaming/vilifying an inanimate object, when the possessors of illegal guns should be the ones held accountable.

"Mayors against violent criminals" could get more support.

I am surprised there was only one mayor from AL on there. Then wasn't too surprised to see he is mayor of Mobile. They should add the mayor of Barre, VT to that list. He wasn't too fond of firearms even though his city has worse problems like crack and heroine.

Only a few from Maine and luckily not mine. It took me a while to find, I was bordering on ok with things until the light was shined more clearly at:

"Keep lethal, military-style weapons and high capacity ammunition magazines off our streets."

This is already covered under my current outgoing emails.

Rats. Mine is one.

Double entendre

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A double entendre is a figure of speech in which a spoken phrase is devised to be understood in either of two ways. Typically one of the interpretations is rather obvious whereas the other is more subtle. The more subtle of the interpretations may have a humorous, ironic, or risqué purpose. It may also convey a message that would be socially awkward, or even offensive, to state directly.

If Bloomberg was the head of The Second Amendment Champions would you think he was up to any good? If he was really against illegal deadly guns shouldn't they be doing something about border agents killed with guns shipped by the US government to Mexican cartels?

Convicted criminal ex Detroit mayor Kwami killpatrick was a member. Check out the second amendment foundations list of how many of those mayors can't even own guns because they are convicts. One is a sex offender. How about law abiding gun owners against criminal mayors. I like that idea. Folks we need to get more aggressive in ou defending are rights. Lets get these crooks exposed.

I don't live in the "village" of which my closest mayor presides. Do I still have pull? This is a village of like 3500, within a town that is not setup to have a mayor. I don't vote for them, so I guess I don't have a mayor unfortunately.

Bloomberg thinks ALL guns are illegal. Any mayor joining his group is purely anti-2A.

My little suburb town used to... not anymore, but you've got a good amount of the rest of South Florida's on there. My college town does. I'll put him on a list of people to contact.

If your Mayor is on that list then you need to either re-educate the Mayor or vote them out.

Folks the Anti Gun people are in this for the long haul and will never give up. We need to be as dedicated if not more so than they are. Letters are a great start but we have to become more active. We have to come together as a group in every single city, town and village of this great nation. As a group we must advocate for our position at every level of government. If we fail to do so you might as well sell your firearms for scrap. Everybody from the hunter, to the Trap and Skeet crowd, to the benchrest shooters, the competition shooters, the collectors, those owning for personal defense and every other person who believes in the Bill of Rights have to join ranks and fight these attacks.

It's time to stand up and be counted folks. We either give up and join the sheep or stand for our beliefs. What say you?
