There are advantages to doing things like this on one's own property. Like no one else being able to tell us we couldn't have guns.Very cool. We would have done something like that, but some blissninnys were there and it was at a church.
There were a number of people present at the wedding who are either anti-gun or are simply uncomfortable around guns (my mother, for instance). Out of consideration for them, we did the gun pic immediately after the ceremony, while people were still milling about down by where the ceremony had been. With the house between us and them, most of them never knew what happened.

Being rennies, we also had a two-rapier arch to walk through during the recessional. No 21-gun-salute, though. Would have given my poor mother a heart attack.

We didn't do the garter ceremony, for various OT reasons. If I'd thought about the thigh holster, though...dang. We should have done that.
