If only there were more girls like that in the UK!!!!!!!!
In my experiance as a shooter, there are many females over here and in Australia who seem to shun men who have an interest in guns, possibly because they think that they would be associating with and later living with a potential Norman Bates or a Rambo-type psycho, like Micheal Ryan, or worse still a charming fella like Jeremy Bamber or like Christian Bale's character Patrick Bateman, from American Psycho.
The only women who seem to like guns over here are:country girls, girls from farming backgrounds and girls who serve in the armed forces-who respect and understand-their weapons.
My cousins wife is from a farming family on the Essex and Suffolk county borders and she dislikes guns completely, even though her dad and grandad both own shotguns and the fact that she is from a farming family.
Unfortunately in the UK unlike the USA, it seems that shooting,-especially practical shooting- is often a male dominated sport and the chances of seeing a pretty girl with a Benelli Nova, Remington 870 or 1100 in a Practical Shotgun competition, are very remote.
But on the bright side of things, there seems to be an increase in females participating in airsoft skimishes on airsoft battle ranges and from what i've seen they seem to love it.Also more women are starting to enjoy GPP (Gas-powered practical Pistol.) because they loved it on the skirmishing range.
This increase will hopefully see us UK shooters turn the tables on the 1997 firearms ammendment act and get back proper, ordinary-lengthed cartridge-firing pistols- I bloody hope so.
A good lesson to be learnt from a nation who have done and who still seem to appease THE ANTIS!!!!!!!! DON'T DO IT OR IF YOU DO THEY WILL DEMAND MORE RESTRICTIONS AND FINALLY MORE BANS ON YOUR FAVOURITE EQUIPMENT.
