Hey all,

I have recently decided that a new 12 ga. Ithaca 37 Featherlight will be my next shotgun. The gun will be doing everything for me from now on. From deer to upland to waterfowl to trap and back again. I'm really excited about my choice, however, the one thing I am stumbling over is whether to get a plain field grade or vent. rib barrel on it. I know it's customary to have a rib on a shotgun, and not having one (to some) is like having a pizza without cheese and crust... However, I like the look of the plain field grade barrel and have shot fine with plain barrels in the past. The only plus I see to the rib is options for rear sight mounts for deer and turkey hunting. So, are there sights (rear especially) that could be used on a Ithaca 37 that could be easily removed or put back on depending on what I want to do with it? (so I can avoid going the rib route).

I really would like to forgo any smithing and be able to take 'em on and off as I please, but any sight option suggestions are welcome (including aperture). Just no glass. thanks all!
