OK....and what are they gonna do with ALL that ammo? Use it on us???
Presumably "they" are going to do the exact same thing that "they" have always done with similar quantities of ammunition purchased in the past.

It is criminal.It was common practice back in the day when Customs, Border Patrol and INS were separate to take whatever old ammo left over from the previous contract to the "dump" or the local gun store or home. The abuse was criminal if you ask me.
But, don't let the facts get in the way of a good panic, get out there and keep spreading misinformation and outright lies. It's the only way you and your buddies can justify all the silliness of lining up to buy three boxes of .22 on Tuesday morning.
@patatohead
congrats! 16,000 rds in acquired in less than 1 yr.
Do you actually plan on shooting some of that stuff or are you just hoarding?
My god, I'm sick of people acting like anyone with more than 2 boxes of ammo is hoarding. Stop crying and whining...
Many of us are equally tired of hearing conspiracy theories about how the government is causing a ammo shortage from the people that stand in line every day to buy as much ammo as they can.
The truth is that people are SCARED of the future. I know this isn't a political forum, but that is the truth about the ammo shortage.
HOWEVER . . . The root cause of the ammo shortage is the consumer - US.
Has anyone wondered WHY individuals are buying ammo in record numbers??? Trust me, it ain't 'cause of CCW, recreational shooting, or scalping... Yeah, all of that has some impact...
The truth is that people are SCARED of the future. I know this isn't a political forum, but that is the truth about the ammo shortage. People want to be able to defend themselves against the evil coming for them or their stuff. Whether it's the guberment, the thugs driving by their home, or the masses of unemployed.
That is barely over 2 bricks a month??????@patatohead

anyway - I'll laugh when ammo is back to "reasonable" levels and all those folks stockpiling sit on their .40cent+ / rd 9mm ammo and .80cent /rd .223 ammo....
just got back home from Walmart today and they had 6 boxes of 9mm Tula for $10 / each (50rds) and PLENTY of .40 SW for $32 / 100rds (Remington)
Sounded like a joke to me. Lighten up, Francis.It's none of your god dang business what he's doing with it. It's his.
My god, I'm sick of people acting like anyone with more than 2 boxes of ammo is hoarding. Stop crying and whining. Go buy some yourself. Can't find any? Can't afford any? Not my freaking problem. Grow the hell up and stop being jealous because the other kid on the playground has a toy you want.

I planned on sitting on it until more hatched...@patatohead
