when all the deer hunters head to the range to check their zeroes and sight in the new rifles and scopes they've picked up. That means all kinds of less common rifle brass that we can't get any other time of year.
So, what'd you find?
Yesterday I found some .25-06, .243, .300 Win Mag, a bunch of .300 WSM, and a bunch of 7mm-08. Also got a bunch of .30-06, which isn't rare, per say, but I don't seem to find much outside of this time of year. I guess the only folks who shoot it year round are reloaders.
The best find of the day was 30 pieces of Lapua .308 Win brass. I found an ASYM brand factory ammo box which said they use Lapua brass and 175 gr SMKs. Can't believe someone would just leave that laying.
