For you ITTS fans, this opportunity won't be around long.
As a 26-year veteran of the L.A.P.D., Scott Reitz has spent 22 years in the elite Metropolitan Division (SWAT, K-9, Mounted and High Risk deployment) with 10 years as an operator and instructor in S.W.A.T. For the last several years, he has been the primary firearms instructor for the Metropolitan Division and responsible for all in-service training for the department. During his career as a field officer with the Metropolitan Division, Scott was involved in 5 officer-involved shootings, all in policy with successful outcomes. Scott is an F.B.I. certified law enforcement instructor and has trained with SEAL Team 6, Delta and the F.B.I.’s HRT in counter-terrorist operations and participated in Recon Battalion anti-terrorist fleet training with the U.S. Marine Corp at Camp Pendleton. He also spent several years as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Energy’s SRT-III training in New Mexico. Scott is a use of deadly force expert witness in police defense cases for the Superior and Federal Courts and works as a lecturer and consultant on high profile cases for law firms, the District Attorney’s office and the U.S. Government. He is the head firearms instructor for International Tactical Training Seminars, Inc. (I.T.T.S.), a private firearms school in Los Angeles.

Day One: Cold drills, Use of Deadly Force Discussion, Malfunction drills, Speed reloads, One-handed manipulation (strong and weak hand) multiple target engagement and shoot/no shoot scenarios.

Day Two: (Night Shoot): Hostage target engagement, unconventional shooting positions, varied distance shooting, various low level light shooting techniques and man on man drills.

Day Three: Close contact shooting, weapon retention, “stress†drills, shooting on the move, team movement and room clearance in a shoot house.

Hours: October 1st & 3rd - 9:00 AM– 5:00 PM, October 2nd - 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Equipment: A Handgun with Holster, Magazine Pouch, Spare magazines, Eye & Ear protection, 1,200 Rounds and a Flashlight.

Tuition is $500 with half due upon registration and the balance due by September 1st, 2004. Student application must be submitted with the first payment.

Prerequsite: 20 hours of prior training by an approved school within the last year and/or approval by PDT or ITTS.
