I like the Mossberg ONLY because of the location of the safety.

Normally I'd say get the 870, but in this case...

Get the 500, and use the $100 to either buy a new barrel or buy lots of ammo.

I love my point-and-click pistol-gripped 88, and I've shot a relative's 500A Cruiser extensively. +1 for Mossy.

even though i prefer the 870, the 500plus $100.00 is a good deal. get yourself the 500 and an 18" bbl with the extra cash.
