Possible option for tuckable holsters, for those who don't want the telltale belt loops or clips on the belt giving away the holster underneath- detachable covers for your IWB holster's loops/clips in denim or other common pants fabrics.

It'd at least at first glance look a little more like a belt loop then, instead of a holster loop- leather or especially kydex can be a dead giveaway.

Think it'd work? Think it'd sell? They'd be pretty cheap & easy to make...

Not a bad idea. With an IWB holster the loops are more to prevent shifting and the holster pulling out than to take the weight of the gun. With the newer IWBs/tuckables with replaceable loops you could make your own easily enough.

Good idea, I'm stealing it. :D

I use this:

When not carrying, you just push it down inside the pants; only the two loops on the belt show, and if you push them together, no one will know it's a holster. I wore several on my BDU belt on FTX's because invariably some officers would decide they didn't want to carry their sidearms.

Good with BDU's, not so good with Dockers. :D

"Why do you have that string on your belt?"

"Uh, to remind me how much I love you baby."

"Awwwww"

...for that matter, Blade-tech or one of the other kydex manufacturers could probably come up with a way to make it easy to cover the loops with a swatch of your own fabric... wrap it around, snap the thing in back to hold it there, and that way you can either buy fabric to match or take a little off the hem or something (buy your pants a couple inches longer than neccessary and hem 'em) for an exact match to any fabric...

Think any of 'em would be willing to trade that idea for a holster? I've been wanting an IWB holster for IDPA but don't have the money right now.

Of course, now I've already given away the idea.

I saw one manufacturer offering a clip on keychain to disguise your loop with... been thinking I could adapt that idea if I used a leather loop and also attached my wallet chain to it. Not that I can afford a nice IWB leather holster now, but I can scheme anyway.

Well, true enough, carebear! :) But SWMBO is probably the only person who'd notice it, and you could just use black 550 cord to make it even less noticeable. ;)

Yep, black is the fashion mainstay. :D

I'm thinking for a tuckable situation this might be more useful than for just an IWB with a cover garment.

My belt loops are covered anyway when I wear an IWB.

I had a shoe shop sew a horizontal loop inside my belt at the proper position. The clip on the IWB holster thus is inside the belt, and the belt still carries the weight.
