Hi all. I currently have a Fist kydex holster that has a tuckable j-hook attachment, belt loops and hoops. The holster is great and I love it with the belt loops. I started CCWing with the j-hook then switched the holster over to the belt loops, night and day difference when the weight is actually carried by the belt and not the seam of the pants!!!

Anyhow, I now need a holster that I can tuck in. I can use the tuckable j-hook option with my current holster, but then I lose the belt loops. Also, I really get annoyed with the j-hook because of the gun always pulling down the seam of the pants.

Ok, ok, question is: Does anyone know of a good tuckable holster (preferably a thin kydex but not required...) that is tuckable AND uses a belt clip type of attachment rather than the j-hook? If anyone can point me towards one I would much appreciate it. Thanks :D

Something like this? It`s an Ideal (sort of an Uncle Mike`s knockoff) and it fits a P9. Inexpensive and suits my purpose as I only use it in real hot weather.

Thaaats what I wanted, thank you very much! :)

If anyone has anything they feel is better, I'm still listening for a little while.

i have several comp-tac products & they're all top notch. i carry a kahr p40 in thier shirt tucker model every day and its the best rig i've ever had. saddlebum

Try this

Desantis has a new nylon tuckable model on their website ( sorry no url ) called the Tuck this! It looks like a good option for a $30.00 holster.

I carry my P9 in a Wild Bill's Tuckable Covert Carry IWB. It's an outstanding holster and gun specific. It's not kydex but good quailty leather. (smells great too...better than kydex)

I took the j-hook off my K1, and stuck some stick-on velcro from the hardware store on the outside.

The I bought a 1" elastic belt, and sewed some sew-on vecro from the fabric store on the inside.

I wear the belt under my pants - over my shirt when I'm carring deep, or standard IWB with a cover garment, and under my shirt when I'm carrying tucked IWB. I can place the holster in position, without having the usual need-three-hands difficulty of putting on a tuckable IWB holster, and without putting any weight on the pants.

Plus I can remove the holster, to move it to the pocket of my overcoat, or to put it in the car, quickyly and easily. And I can replace it just as quickly and easily.

I got the idea from Andy Arratoonian's TJM holster:

http://www.holsters.org/deepconceal-holster.htm

Except that I replaced the belt with a store-bought, and the holster with a FIST. (I'm still using his magazine carrier).

It'd be pretty quick for you to check out how well this would work for you - just grab a spare belt, and use it with the j-hook, under your pants.
