I have had a Galco tuckable with the plastic J-hook for many years now. It's a good holster but I have never been enamored with the J-hook...it adds a fair amount of 'bulge' and just looks odd and out of place on the belt. I always thought the Milt Sparks Workman was a great solution as a leather loop on the belt is more natural and can be disguised with some keys hanging from it.

It looks like the Workman is no longer on the Milt Sparks website and as I recall was a bit pricey 'back in the day'.

Does anyone know of any holster makers who make a reasonably priced tuckable with the leather belt loop instead of the plastic hooks?

Was the Workman ever a Sparks holster?

I know Mitch Rosen carry's the Workman. See it on their brand new website, too. http://www.mitchrosen.com

Of course there is the "Undershirt" from D&D Gunleather. Which of course is from Dave Workman, the Workman behind the name Workman. http://www.danddgunleather.com

For clarity, a J-hook goes over the waistband of the pants, behind the belt and the hook is under the bottom of the belt.

I'm sorry. Of course you are right. It would help if I looked under the correct holster maker! Haven't been taking my Ginko Biloba lately! Thanks.

If cost is a factor, look for a kydex/leather hybrid and your options open wide. Old Faithful Holsters will ship with tuckable leather loops instead of clips if you ask in the comments section.

No. You want everything on your belt away from your gun. They'll possibly get in the way of a draw, and possibly draw more attention to your gun. People like shiny objects. Plus I like to keep as much weight off my "gun side" as possible.
