What do you all recommend for a pocket holster to fit a J frame Smith?

Thinking something a little more flexible than kydex......but I may be wrong.

There are plenty of leather holsters available. I googled "leather pocket holster J frame" and got almost 4 million hits. Go with a "rough out" style.

I don't use any kind of holster for my Smith & Wesson 642 I just dropped it in my pocket with nothing else in it.

The true beauty of pocket carry is the ability to be casually armed without rattling innocent bystanders.
Walking the dog in a navy wool pea coat? No problemo! Strolling to your car after a retail trip? Easy!

I like Sticky and Blackhawk pocket holsters. They are made from a material that does kind of grabs onto the fabric of your pocket.
The also help with keeping the firearm clean and dry (from sweat and rain).
I find them tobe very comfortable.

My pocket carry holsters and carry guns.

Had to start somewhere. Got a Desantis, Hume and Galco coming. Also think I have a Remora around here so where that might work ....just have not found it yet.

Let the holster drawer expand........

If your J frame is DAO, round butt, then I suggest a DeSantis clip grip for pocket carry. It's being discontinued and the price is $18.

I clip the hook of the grip to the top hem of the front picket of my Levi's. I usually wear a Carharrt t-shirt, which is long enough to comceal it superbly. It sits perfectly in my pocket and stays put.

HamreForge.com also makes a similar "Hamre Hook" clip grip.

I pocket carry my J frame in a aholster. But in cooler days (few in South Florida) I sometimes carry it in a Phlster City Special kydex IWB.
