I currently have a Mika round cut and a Uncle Mike's #3 that I use when I carry my S&W Model 60 in my pocket. I find both of these work well in shorts and khaki's and I find the 60 my Sunday gun more and more. I also find my 60 being my yard work gun. Recently I have found my J frame shooting has drastically improved and I feel comfortable carrying it a little more. That said. I find when I carry in blue jeans the butt of the grip seems to print. Currently using the Uncle Mike boot grip which I find I shoot better than the Houge Bantam and the Monogrip. I say seems to print because in reality I realize that folks are so caught up with themselves that printing is really something that only those look for notice. I also realize that I notice it more because I am looking down on than someone would looking straight on. I carry a whole heap of stuff in my pockets so having a full pocket doesnt bother me. I am in search of another holster. I am thinking maybe a Mike square cut. Simply because the square shape will appear to be a wallet or phone etc while being thin but not allowing the cylinder etc to print. I dont care if its leather or kydex or ? but I would prefer for it to hide the grip. What do you use? What do you suggest?

I am a big fan of pocket carry, but when doing so I don't wear blue jeans. The two don't go together because the side pockets aren't deep enough.
You can (1) have an extension added to the pocket used for carry to make it deeper, or (2) use an IWB holster that conceals the butt below the belt.

Maybe leather isn't always the most practical choice.
Guys carry about as much stuff in our pockets as we can stuff into them.
We smirk and make comments about our ladies' purse saying that the 'purse' would be more suitable for use as a diaper bag for triplets. When it comes to pockets in jeans or casual shorts, we are equally guilty.
If there is the tinsyest bit of room, closet, garage, pocket or purse, something will find its way into that unused space.
If you're gonna carry a small revolver on body, the Birami Hip Grip, for us, has been about as good as its likely to get.
It works and has lots of options for our ladies also.

Funny you mention stuff in pockets. I would love to be secure enough to carry a man purse. Today I have 2 set of keys, wallet, Buck 426 pocket knife, Sabre Red OC, spare Glock 17 mag, I phone and would have a flash light but 3 year old borrowed it and I havent looked for it. I dont know where where the heck I plan to carry a J frame.

When buying jeans check the pockets for depth and ruggedness. I find that Rural King's house band jeans have the best pockets for carry. My 642 in an Uncle Mike's #3 disappears in there.

I have an Uncle Mike's Pocket Holster for my J Frame. I prefer the Bodyguard Airweight for three main reasons. Lighter, option of single/double action, and shrouded hammer to prevent snags on clothing. I like all the S&W "Chiefs" (and clones). I have two regular blued 2" and 3" models. Each has it's own merits.

Plenty of jeans have deeper pockets. I was able to carry a few small .380s in my pockets, after cleaning one out too. 2 sets of keys, glasses cleaning cloth, 2 multi tools, gum, wallet, phone, flashlight. And that isn't including the crap that goes on my belt.
I used a cheap Uncle Mikes size 3 pocket holster. Small investment since I didn't plan on pocket carrying much. If you plan to pocket carry regularly I would recommend a Nemesis or similarly built rugged holster.

Yep. Wrangler blue jeans do. Wrangler jeans are all I wear and my S&W 60 in a thin, rough out leather holster I made for it, fits very well. No printing and the butt is concealed. That's the old Model 60, a stainless version of the famous S&W Model 36 Chief's Special, .38 Special.
Works for me.
