This is a very good video and even though it has been posted before, it is worth it to be reposted every few months because it gives a lot of good info on speed shooting.
As someone said in another thread, (to paraphrase) "I could follow every trick and technique that Jerry gives me and he would still outshoot me by a long shot"
Last Saturday I watched an instructor remind a student to grip the pistol so the barrel (firing direction) aligns with the forearm. On Sunday I watched this video, with Jerry showing how to grip the pistol so the sights align with the dominant eye. Miculek commented if your grip feels comfortable, it is probably wrong. A light went on for me; for three days I've been dry fire drawing with an adjusted grip for sight to (left) eye alignment. I'm looking forward to an upcoming IDPA-style match to try the change on a hot range.
Like most on here I’ve watched a bunch of Jerry’s videos and learned from them, one of the things I’ve heard him mention numerous time is “bring the sights up to your eyes and not your eyes to the sights” or something along those lines…turtling I think he calls it. If you look at that screen shot both of those guys are turtling, dude in the front more than the other…that is YEARS of shooting like that and will take a LONG time to get rid of.
