I just got here (SHOT), and as promised, Dick Mochak got my .500 PC prototype done. Since it doesn't have a SKU # yet, they don't have it displayed, but if you ask, he or Jim Rae will get it out for you.

5" button-rifled barrel with 1:10" twist for bullets up to 725 grs. at all velocities and ranges

Half lug shroud for best balance

No comp for less blast

Hexagonal muzzle nut lets B/C gap be set at .0035". The 5" gun gives ~100-125 FPS more velocity than a typical 8 3/8" gun with factory gap

Millet dovetail front sight allows proper sight height for widely varying bullet weights and velocities. (Quick-change front sights don't work out well except with long barrels)

No unsightly extra markings--just my initials for the serial number prefix.

250 guns in satin stainless, JR*0001-JR*0250
and 250 in black with SS cylinder, JR**0001-JR**0250, where * and ** denote two different letters, probably A and B.

Buyers of these guns get 30 day right of first refusal on future guns of same serial number and finish. I have several other X-Frame PC specials planned.

Price TBA, delivery of the Satin guns probably early April. I will accept no money until I have guns in hand but I do have a notebook where people are reserving specific serial number. The first 20 guns in each finish, and the last one in each finish, as well as a half dozen others (birthday, etc.) are spoken for. Call me if you have a number request. No obligation, but don't tie up guns based on wishful thinking.

JR, the 500 Specialist
