Join Jim and Sarah Brady and President Clinton for the 10th Anniversary of the Brady Bill
Please join us in commemorating the 10th anniversary of this landmark legislation at a Forum and reception on Thursday, December 4, 2003, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D. C.
Ten years ago, President Bill Clinton signed the Brady Bill into law. Since it’s passage, the Brady Law has prevented over 1 million prohibited purchasers from buying guns by requiring them to undergo a background check. America is safer because if this law. We think this is reason to celebrate!
The Forum will feature a bi-partisan panel of those who were instrumental in the passage of the Brady Bill, including remarks by President Bill Clinton. Sam Donaldson will be moderating.
During the reception, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence will honor long time board member and highly respected Washingtonian, Mr. John W. Hechinger, Sr.
Tickets start at $100 per person and there are several sponsorship levels to the event. Please contact Susan Fuller at (202) 218-4640 to purchase tickets, become a sponsor or if you have any further questions.
The Forum will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. and will be followed by a reception from 6:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. The Omni Shoreham is located at 2500 Calvert Street and is approximately three blocks from the Woodley Park Metro station.
Guests who wish to stay at the Omni should contact Jan Wolff at (703) 941-7265 for reservations.
We hope to see you there!
Please pass this email alert on to your friends and family who may be interested in attending.
"Thumbs up to all of you for your generous support! Together, we will build a safer America." - Jim "The BEAR" Brady
