Since this is a Fantasy thread...

If there were cloned T-Rex's on a rampage (or that bigger dino with the fin that killed a T-Rex in Jurassic Park III). This would be my pick and is the only thing I would feel safe in.

What Would Karamojo Bell Do?

I'm with Robert Ruark: use enough gun.

Seancass, I've got the .223 here if you're willing to go and sprinkle the Tannerite on his tail. :D

it's an amusement park

the animals will be safely behind cages, so no weapons. See the sign at the metal-detector gate. :neener:

Wildey Magnum, of course. Don't you know it makes a real mess? Enough now, I'm going for ice cream.

I don't have cable - but for whatever reason my television receives 2 cable channels anyway - Bravo and AMC. I must've seen Death Wish 3 a dozen times now. :)

Independently targeting particle beam phalanx.

I don't know what that means, but it will fry half a city.

It is my belief that caliber is not what is important the question is who do you assign to protect civilization against such a threat. On that matter my vote goes firmly to none other than Gecko45. We know what he chose for mall security so I assume that for dino security he will be requesting M249's as "light duty" and ICBM's for any unexpected situations.

Also since every caliber war ends in saying shot placement is key, I feel I need to be the first one to say it. "If you could hit that pea sized brain with a .22lr you could stop it"

Since I dont posses that sort of markmanship (or ego to think that I could hit ANYTHING as the T-rex charges) I vote for about 25guys with M60's

This thread reminds me of a question I had.

Why was it that Muldoon* waited right until he saw the raptors to bother folding the stock down? Why didn't he do that right before leaving the bunker?:scrutiny:

And in answer to the OP, a 1919A4 in .308 for raptors.;)

*The guy with the SPAS12 in Jurrasic Park.

I don't think De Niro's back blast area is all clear, touching off that LAW is going to mess that car up big time.

I'd say quad .50s mounted in back of trucks with AC-130 CAS

or better yet, my aunt, she'll nag them to death.

Because it was a movie. I actually wondered that too; more importantly, why did he bother to murmur "smart girl" when that raptor thrust its head through the brush at him? He'd have been better off had he kept his mouth shut and simply turned and fired. Maybe he wouldn't have succeeded ... but making cute remarks isn't a good survival technique.

Given the size of an elephant compared to something like a T rex, any 400+ caliber rifle will probably work fine. Just put the bullet in the right place.

Keep in mind that Bell killed over 1,000 elephants with a 7x57 Mauser.
