May be I'm paranoid, but I've noticed a spike in the number of what I consider intrusive questioning, how to turn your XXXXXX in to a full auto cheap type postings here and other boards from first time posters and no duplicate questions or devices. Then yesterday I read a story how the poor ATF doesn't have the manpower to audit all FFL holders every three years like they are supposed to, an average of 4% the last couple of years.

I lurked here quite a while before I joined so I have a decent feel for the number of wacko posts, geko-45 comes to mind and it just seems like a set up by either one of the anti-gun orgs, the press or some govt. agency that has way too much time, money and twisted priorities.

Best solution is to hit that little red and white triangle next to the post, and have nothing else to do with the thread. There are some threads I have no intention of getting involved in.

No talking is not, but we've all seen it where some local tv station goes "deep undercover" for the real story and their team called, spoke with, or spent time on a forum of extremist and here are their results. Much ado about nothing. Just like IIRC Brady bunch calling gun stores about strawman purchases. The way the question was asked, the store thought the gun was a gift.

The reason these questions come from people with no posts is because anyone who has spent any time here knows its a waste of time. And the reason we dont here from them again is because they are quickly removed. I seriously doubt that it is a fishing expidition since what they are fishing for isnt actually illegal (yet) and the information is freely available at other forums.

Well at least we have the patriot act(s) to protect us.... are there 2 patriot acts now? I am pretty sure there are, correct me if I am wrong.

I am wondering how hard it would be to take a conversation (out of context) on a forum to be used against you under these types of acts.
