Every time I go to my LGS, I am tempted to buy the lonely M&P45 mag hanging on the wall. Maybe it will buy the M&P45 that Ive wanted to buy for a while.
Just bought a mag for a Sig P238, which I don't have yet. I WILL BE BUYING THE GUN, HOWEVER!!! The mags are hard to find in stock at my LGS, etc, so I picked it up. Have you ever done this? Not a habit of mine, but it just seemed right. Curious to know if anyone else has.
The only mag I have purchased when I didn't own the gun was a pre-war Colt Ace which at the time I intended to buy later. Sometimes an original magazine is missing.
I've ordered magazines for a Browning BLR that I'll eventually be buying.
I've come to the realization that "accessories" for many firearms are much harder to find than the firearm themselves. So this time around I'm buying all of the accessories I want *first*, and then the firearm. That way, when I purchase the firearm, I can bolt on or otherwise test the accessories package, and the project is done.
Dealers seem to stock limited amounts of matching accessories for the firearms they buy for resale, which can be very annoying to deal with, especially with the long lead times on everything right now.
My current project accessories list:
- Magazines
- scope mount rail
- scope rings
- backup iron sights
- optic
- cartridge-specific broken shell extractor
- folding cleaning rod (Rapid-Rod)
