I just now returned home with my new SP101 2 1/4'' barrel complete with the ugly warning on the barrel, man this gun would be beautiful if it wasn't for that, anyhow it fits my hand perfect and fit and finish is also perfect paid $455 for the gun. The guys in the shop were very nice which is rare most of them think you should be honored to buy something from them not the other way around i was impressed to say the least. And to top it off they couldn't find a holster to fit so one of the guys offered to sell me his slightly used bianchi accumold elite for 25 bucks really good expirience.:)

Mine is on my hip as I type this. It's a fantastic gun. Dry fire about 1000 times, and you'll be set!!!

I have a 3 incher also. Had Dave Clements work the action, put some beautiful hogue exotic wood grips on it, and filed the front site til it hits point of aim. I carry mine in and army leather shoulder holster designed for a 1911 (Hey it fits and is comfy). NICE little tanks those 101s. Enjoy yours.

among steel framed compact .357 magnum revolvers...there is no equal...I would venture to feed my 3" barreled SP101 magnum loads that I wouldn't try to put through any S&W or Taurus equivalent; SP101's are not the sleekest looking compact magnum revolvers, but they are very strong and will last a lifetime of hard shooting
