I've never had a snubbie like this S&W Model 686 Plus before-so, I don't really know if i'm going to fall in love with this revolver, or not? Well anyway, here are some pictures for you to view:

Nice!

I'd put some smaller grips on. Blade-tech makes a nice IWB if your pants will fit it. :)

Very nice........have you shot it yet? If so how do you like the way it handles? I ask because I'm in the market for a new revolver but can't make up my mind on what to get.

No, I haven't shot my M686P yet! It does feel good in the hand, due to the Jerry Mikulek grips! The balance feels good too! I've only had this gun for a couple of days! I was anxious to post my pictures of it on this gun forum first! Thanks for the compliment! Oh, I can comment on the exceptionally nice feeling trigger pull on this revolver!

Slick6........let us know how you like those Jerry Mikulek grips AFTER you shoot it. They do look good but I wonder how they feel after 50+ rounds at the range?

I've owned a bunch of 686 snubs, mostly 3", because I like their looks and how well they handle recoil. But they're a little fat for hours of comfortable carry.

The Miculek grips were too thin for me, and the upper ridge on them always whacked my hand. I'd much prefer Ahrends round butts, if I didn't have a couple of pairs of customized laminates I bought off a guy who made them from some conventional grips (maybe Badgers).

I have a 2.5" 686P. I bought some wooden grips online as the pachmayrs it came with were too big for my hands. The round wooden grips, which makes the gun roll instead of push back, really make the gun controllable with the stoutest of loads. That and the weight. It really is a great revolver. Not meant for a CCW though as it is bulkier than most service autos.

Thanks, I'll first try the Jerry Miculek grips and if these don't work out for me-then, I'll try some Ahrends or some other wooden grips for my S&W M686P? Otherwise, for my wife(with small hands)she should do well shooting .38 specials with the slimmer Miculek grips? These should work for me also, in shooting these .38's?
