Just got the wife a new gun, happy mother's day

I just bought my wife her first gun, to carry. She should have her CHL in a few months.

We'd discussed it before and now more than ever I am concerned about her safety and that of my daughter when Im not around.

So here it is A Taurus M85 Ultra-Lite in .38Spl

Got is slightly used under $250, whatta ya think? Not bad?

Practically the last day of deer season my mom (in her mid-70s) announced she wanted to go deer hunting. She'd been going out to different stands and watching the deer and decided she could get one if there was someone there to help her get it field dressed etc. She has a scoped .22 (Marlin Model 60) that she's good with, and a S&W 317 with an outstanding action job plus a cut-down 20 ga. double for house guns

Her Mother's Day present this year?

A NEF .30-30 single shot, fitted with a short stock, soft recoil pad, cheek pad and Redfield low powered variable scope.

Im not sure which one of us is more excited. I love new guns. Its like Christmas.

I have not seen it yet, the FFL went in the mail today. should be a week or so. Even when you tack on the $20 for the BGcheck and xfer fee, not a bad price.

I will feel so much better knowing that she has it. Our little girl just turned 1 and she is everything to me. I am really glad that my wife decided to do it.

She was a fence sitter when I met her. Didnt really have an opinion on the subject. All I had at the time was a Marlin .22 rifle. Here we are 6 years, and 20 guns later... shes been converted!!!

Get started the right way with a class or three. Now you have an armed partner, even more of an asset than she was already.
