You may need to explain/define "webring" for some of us. I've never heard the word before (and I'm not even old :D).

Well, hey, we've got a few guys who sell various kinds of safes -and- residential security containers. Just found that one of 'em in kinda sorta almost in my backyard... or at least in the same county...

But I know that Monkeyleg is the go-to-guy for the small "bedside" gun boxes...

And if I ever make a zombie movie, I'll be on the phone to Correia...

And if I need a retired aviator... Not sure where to find one of those...

there was something similar to this on a hotrod message board i was a part of....
basically a helper page that listed businesses, services, and contact information of members so that other members could support and use services/businesses of other members.

the down side to this:
being that this is a forum related to firearms, many would be reluctant to have their real world identity and contact information available to the general public or any criminal elements that may lurk here.
john smith...member of gun forum...works from 9-5 at such and such ....post #800 states guns are located here, here and there.... you get the idea.

If any business owners among us need commercial collections service, ...

I'll have the business website up this week so your idea is well timed for me.

Bogie, so you want to essentially create a THR yellow pages? Actually the idea has potential and you might be able to make some money.

A Web Ring is a set of somewhat related web pages that are inter linked to each other and the whole "Ring" has a table of contents of direct links.

A webring in general is a collection of websites from around the Internet joined together in a circular structure. When used to improve search engine rankings, webrings can be considered a search engine optimization technique.

To be a part of the webring, each site has a common navigation bar; it contains links to the previous and next site. By clicking next (or previous) repeatedly, the surfer will eventually reach the site they started at; this is the origin of the term webring. However, the click-through route around the ring is usually supplemented by a central site with links to all member-sites; this prevents the ring from breaking completely if a member site goes offline.
