Never ceases to amaze me how many times people don't understand the uses/advantages of 300BLK.
I think every forum that asks this question, I post the same thing, so here it is again:
300BLK advantages:
- Works well suppressed and unsuppressed
- Works well in short or long barrels (from 7" up to 18" IIRC)
- Excellent Reloader round
- Uses standard 5.56/223 BCG and mags, and uses same parts with exception of barrel and FH
- Can use a variety of bullets from 110-220gr
Its not without its faults, but if used within the confines of its limits, it is a great round for hunting, HD/SD, and generic plinking if you have a source for the ammo.
The ammo availability issue is the same anway as the 6.8 or 6.5 because they are all wildcat calibers.
