BryanP: If that is true. Good. However, I've seen it many times in faux widescreen. 4X3 format, even though marketed as widescreen. Caveat emptor. You buy it and tell me. Then I'll buy it if you recommend it!

What do you mean by faux widescreen? You mean where they took a 4:3 print and cropped top and bottom to make it look wide screen? Since it's listed as a 2.35:1 ratio the cropping required would be hideously obvious..

I don't actually own it, but I'll bet I know someone who does. I'll check with him.

I meant faux advertising. a 4X3 print in a widescreen marked package. ;) I've seen the 2.35: 1 version and it is really breathtaking compared to the 4X3 version. HTH

Ah, I see. Since it's so cheap I'd order it but I'm about to change jobs and I'm not spending any extra $ right now.

Except for parts and ammo at the gun show this weekend. ;)

And my wife's anniversary present. Part of which is changing jobs so I can actually be HOME once in a while ...

"One of my favorite characters is the NCO (I'm not sure what his actual rank was) who maintains discipline and, several times, urges people to behave like a gentleman despite the circumstances."

That could have been Color Sergeant Bourn, played by Nigel Greene.

On the subject of collar badges - in the British army, both the Royal Engineers and the Royal Artillery wear flaming grenades, the difference being the number of flames: RE have 9, RA have 7, IIRC. The grenade is also the badge of the Grenadier Guards, as mentioned earlier, and of Fusilier regiments, including the Royal Welch and the Royal Highland.

Lotsa Zulu Fans Here!

Aother interesting movie is the prequel, 1979's Zulu Dawn covering the massacre at Isandhlwana the day before. Zulu Dawn Links to my review of Zulu is at the bottom of that page, in case anybody's interested. :)
