Just ordered an ATI FXGI

Just ordered an ATI FXGI. Commander sized. I have no experience with ATI, but have read some decent things about them. I wanted to try the commander size 1911's without breaking the bank. All my other 1911s are 5 inchers. What good or bad do you opine about this gun?

The only bad was mine appeared to have been submerged in an oil barrel. After a thorough cleaning it has been flawless. I have somewhere near 1000 rds through it now. The parkerized finish seems to wear off pretty quickly but I bought it to carry instead of my Kimber. Didn't want to scratch or ding my Raptor.


I am now looking for an ATI Titan. Hopefully I can find one locally. My ATI must have been one of the first ones brought in, the serial number is the 300's.

Thanks, guys! I am looking forward to it. I have been wanting a true commander length 1911 for quite some time now. I just pulled the trigger on it yesterday. I will let you know how it works out when I get the gun.

ATI seems to import pretty well made products.

It will be interesting to see how the ATI FXGI compares to other 1911's made in the Philippines, for the price they seem like a good deal.
