I guess you have a Just Right carbine, B?

Ive always wanted a pistol caliber carbine-how much do they run? How do you like it?

Not yet. I am planning to buy one with caliber conversion kits for 9mm/40S&W/45ACP after the move. They are around $800 for the complete carbine with $300 for caliber change kits (barrel/bolt/magwell) from Just Right website. So around $1400 for carbine with 9/40/45 caliber conversion kits.

I was originally planning to build AR carbines in 9mm and bought some Spikes Tactical/Anderson lowers and found out Lone Wolf makes lowers that take Glock mags. But for the price of one Lone Wolf carbine, I could get a Just Right carbine that takes Glock magazines (which I have plenty of) with 9mm/40S&W/45ACP caliber conversions. My final decision came because they make California compliant models.

Now they got a magwell that takes M&P magazines, so I could use them too.

Unlike AR platform based carbines, Just Right carbines are modular and mag well/bolt/barrel can be changed for caliber/magazine conversion using the same receiver.

I've also wanted a pistol caliber carbine for a long time, but I've been hoping to find a 1894 .357 or that someone would make one to take XD mags.

A JRC in 9MM that accepts XDm mags would be nice.

9MM carbines are really fun.

I had a Kel Tec Sub 2000 folding carbine in .40, but sold it to someone who wanted it more than I did. I still have my Sub 2000 in 9MM. I had a Mech-Tech in .45 ACP, but gave it to a friend. I kind of miss it sometimes.

Since JR Carbine's magwell is modular, they can be machined to accept many other magazines. I think they started offering M&P magwell to get a greater market share in the 3-gun match circuits (they are already very popular with Glock match shooters) but my guess would be they may start offering magwell for other brands as well if the demand increases.

I found a JR Carbine in 45ACP (Glock mag model) and will be ordering the conversion kits after the move.

Will keep you posted with range tests and chrono data in new and various existing threads.

Do they have a bolt hold open feature? I read a review a while back and it was mentioned that they didn't, but things change.

How does this fit in reloading guys???? Nothing wrong with the thread I just get confused when I see it in reloading

JR Carbine taking M&P magazines with a mag well swap was for informational purposes.

I will ask Walkalong to move the thread to Rifle Country.

Some of us pay a little more for "California Legal" models.:barf:

I am just glad to have found one as I have been looking for some time with gun stores being "out of stock".
