Just sold my Walther P22 Now trying to move onto 9MM

I Just sold my Walther P22 to a sparring partner from boxing. I bought it brand new in may for 375.00 and sold it for 275.00. It was a good gun for me and my mom to get used to(both of us never shot before until that gun). Me and my mom get used to the 22 and I think were ready for a 9mm. I shot a 9mm s&w Sigma the other day and I liked it alot.

Only problem is is that I dont have a job at the moment and I am not trying to pay much out of pocket for a handgun. I was looking online at buds gun shop and Im kinda skeptical about ordering such a thing from the internet. But for the price I am looking to spend I dont have much of an option. I found 2 9mm handguns that were at a reasonable price and caught my attention

Now I read that you have to have the gun shipped to a ffl dealer and pay them money for the transit. I found a local dealer that charges 15 which was the lowest I could find around. Let me know what you think and by the way this gun would be used for home defense and occasional range shooting.

Buds has a great rep, Some disagree but with such a high volume of sales they do you cant please everyone. There are many threads on this forum about them so id suggest doing a search.

Is the gun mostly for plinking and home defense? Im only guessing as you didn't mention concealed carry.
Id go with the Ruger, Its a well proven 20+ year old design but they went to a polymer frame. Great customer service from Ruger also.
Id suggest spending the extra $21 for the stainless as it is easier to care for imo but also holds its value a bit better than a coated steel slide.

The Taurus is a good gun imo also, But customer service can be like pulling a tooth.
That guns design is pretty well proven also and basically both guns operate the same way.

Which gun would you recommend out of the 2? Id like to have a smoother/easier trigger pull.

Im not sure on how the trigger are on both, you may have to go hold and test it yourself.
Both should be decent tho.
Both are SA/DA with decockers so thats about the safest trigger configuration possible imo.
In SA it should be around 5lb and not alot of take up.
Id say either should be better than the .22 you had trigger wise.

My brother just bought a Ruger P95 and I have been very impressed the way it shoots. He hasn't had any problems with it with any ammo and for a first "jump" into a large caliber, I think he did great.From personal experience, I can't recommend the Taurus line of pistols (0 for 2)

Well It arrived earlier today and I went and picked it up. I have yet to go shoot it, but so far it looks and feels good. I will be providing and thorough review within the next few days.

I got a Ruger P95 9mm

I shot about 50 rounds with it in the range earlier today.
It shot pretty smooth but one thing that could be done better is the grip. I have mid sized hands not too big and not too small and It took several rounds to get somewhat used to the big grip. It was very accurate and did not have any problems with it. Would def recommend it to another shooter not looking to spend too much. I once again only shot 50 rounds so this is going off of today and the whole online ordering thing.
