So, shortly after I put the Jumbo grips on my snake slayer, I was playing with the gun with snap caps. The trigger was almost impossible to pull and when I looked down into the action, I saw that back of the top firing pin snapped off.
After I stopped crying, I called Bond Arms to see about service.
Spoke with Wally, who gave me their UPS Account # and return instructions. I sent it back that day.
Exactly 48 hours later, Travis (their gunsmith) called me back. He said that they received the firearm and the fix was a piece of cake. He explained that the firing pin as probably sheared off due to my excessive dry firing the pistol with snap caps, and suggested using spent brass instead.
He replaced the firing pin and inspected all other internals. All looked well. He also said that he went ahead and replaced the main spring with a new competition spring that they are releasing soon. It should reduce the trigger pull and smooth out the action (which is somewhat testy on these pistols). He also went ahead and buffed out the light surface scratches that appeared after 4 months of ownership.
I received the pistol back today, and it is just as beautiful as ever!! On top of that the trigger pull has been reduced to ~5-6 lbs. VERY NICE. They also threw a cable lock in my case, just because they are awesome.
Bond arms should be an absolute customer service model for the rest of the industry. They are fast and really went the extra mile!!
If you buy one their pistols, rest assured that customer service is absolutely FIRST RATE. I have never dealt with a firearms company that treats their customers like this!!!
