Justice minister says judge's ruling should not be seen as call to arms
By DARCY HENTON

EDMONTON (CP) - A judge's decision to allow a suicidal alcoholic to keep guns for protection should not been seen as a call to arms, says Alberta's justice minister. Dave Hancock said Tuesday that Albertans do not need guns to protect themselves in their homes despite a provincial court judge's ruling released Monday. "We have good and safe communities and I hope people wouldn't take it as a call to go out and arm themselves to protect themselves in their homes," Hancock said. "That's not necessary in our society."

Screw Canada. All of it.

All the good pro-gun Canadians can move south.

I lived in Ottawa for six years (1974-1980), and anytime someone would talk about Western Canada, most specifically Edmonton and Calgary, the follow up comment would be something like "Living in those cities is like living in Dallas or Houston."

I've lived in Texas since 1981-Houston and the D/FW area-and I'm here to tell you that once you get past the oil and the rodeos, the similarities in their cultures pretty much end there. Pathetic. :barf: geegee
