About to put a Magnum Research M380 on layaway. Beautiful firearm and I absolutely love Magnum Research. Only problem is it's basically a Kahr CT380...at least the frame. I just don't care much for the grips on them.

I'm leaning towards the Pachmayr Grip Glove that Kahr actually includes on some of their own guns, but it looks awkward to me. Obviously people love them for a reason, and it's unfair for me to judge something I've never held. It just doesn't look comfortable whatsoever to me though. Too bulky, doesn't cover enough of the grip, and covers logos on a grip that's it's supposedly made for.

That last issue is obviously nitpicking but if I'm paying almost double for a firearm just to get special gold pieces, I don't wanna make it look substantially worse. Any other recommendations?

I use the Subcompact size of the Limbsaver Pro grip sleeve on my Kahr CT380. I have large hands and it works well for me:

Wow thank you. As dumn as this sounds, that actually looks nice enough to cover the logo and stamping at the bottom of the grip.

Almost all of my plastic pistols have a grip sleeve made from a bicycle inner tube. But it would cover the logos and clash with your gold bits.

I use bike inner tube on all my polymer frames too.

Appreciate it. I'll look into that also. I've never been big on polymer guns so I've never really looked into solutions for grips. Seems like genius idea.

If the M380 shoots in a manner similar to the Kahr CT380, which it should, I think you will be impressed. I have several Kahr pistols, and the CT380 is impressive in its accuracy and shootability, despite its size.

I prefer the extra slim grip frame on my CT380 and wouldn’t change it because of excellent concealing, but to each his own. They are very nice shooting little pistols...much easier to shoot than my LCP.

That makes me even more excited to try it out. Can't wait to take the thing home.

I've only ever held one in store. Maybe I'll love the way the standard grip feels during actual shooting. Definitely hope that's the case.

My first CW9 came with tacky grip panels... adhesive panels that are custom cut for your pistol. Not as 'grippy' as an innertube, but still help a lot with control. I have found they also don't hang up on clothes like a rubber grip can...

I believe Kahr or someone else will sell ones cut so the logo shows through... that wasn't important for me.

My CM9 (top) also has the grippy panel on the top part of the grip... with the smaller frame of the M-series pistols any little bit that will help with control is worth it...
