Looking at maybe picking up a CW45 at LGS for about $415, been wanting a "compact" 45acp for some carry but not full time, has the CW45 gotten better with age? I have a CM9 that is perfect but know nothing about the CW45 and i have searched some on this forum. Thanks.

I can only contribute two things.

Rented a used P45 last year. Recoil was stout, and it jammed every third round.

I honestly think Kahr started having issues once they deviated from the K9 design. 40 and 45 are a different shape than 9mm but the fundamental design is just a slightly altered K9 pattern instead of being custom tailored for the fatter sizes.

And yes...I have a K9.

That's all I have.

Bought my CW45 new a year ago and am extremely happy with it. Go for it.

Have about 400 rounds through mine with no problems - as long as I'm using the 6 round magazines. Got a free 7 round magazine right after the purchase as a promotion deal. That 7 rounder is worthless, as it fails to feed the second cartidge every time. That mag is just a paperweight,, IMO. So I picked up a couple more 6 rounders from Ivanhoe @ $30 each.

The pistol is flawless using the the 6 rounders, and the recoil is pretty moderate. Shoots very well, but I've never been much of a shot though.

Buds Guns online sells them for $365 last time I looked.

i have a PM45 that has had some troubles in the 500 rounds ive shoot through it so far, so its safe to say a "step up" in refinement doesnt make a difference with the poly kahrs, they either work or they dont and you have to "kel-tec" them.

that said my PM9 runs flawlessly.
