These are available locally for $379.99. Any opinions on their reliability, trigger and or accuracy out to 15 yards? Thanks, Dennis

I had one, but replaced it with a Taurus PT-745, which is physically about the same size and weight. You can run a search on a comparison I did on this forum. It comes down to, I'd rather carry 7rnds of .45 than 8rnds of 9mm. The gun was fine, typical DOA Kahr trigger. It's good for close PD distances, under 10yrds. It was a challenge, at least for me, to shoot accurately at more than 10yrds, but I didn't didn't give it a lot of practice before I sold it either.

I've a CW9 and its held up well. Had major problem out of the box, Kahr fixed it and its been fine since. Bit over 1000 rounds thru it so far.

Another plus, Pro-Mag makes 7 and 8 round mags for the Kahr E9 and they work perfectly in my CW9. I've had more bad luck than good with Pr0-Mag or over the years but these work perfectly and at $18 each from Midway vs. ~$40 for spare mags from Kahr I figured it was worth a try. Ended up very happy.

I got my CW9 for cheap trigger substitute for the PM40 I usually carry. Figure it'll pay for itself in the cost of the cheapest 9mm ammo vs the cheapest .40S&W for practice.

I've lost confidence in the .45ACP in sub 4" barrels as velocity loss makes me worry about having adequate penetration, so I now prefer the .40S&W in sub compacts.

The Taurus Millennium guns are much thicker in the slide than the Kahr pistols are.

I try to carry the biggest gun I can really hide, these days its usually the PM40.

I've never done any accuracy testing on mine, mostly I practice "instinctive" or "point" shooting with it, but I do pretty well with it on the steel plates at 10 yards. The trigger and short sight radius definitely holds me back at longer ranges.

I'm with my friend wally, on his comments about the quality of the
Kahr CW-9. Only exception, mine has not had any type of problems or
malfunctions; and when dressed in shorts and a T-shirt, often times I
grab it and carry it "Mexican style" (NO PUN intended)~!;) Thus far, I am
well satisfied with this 18.5 oz 9m/m. I can shoot it very accurately from
the 15 yard line, with NO problem~! :D

I too have a CW9 and I carry it almost daily. I've got probably 500 rounds thru it so far and not a hitch at all. It's eaten everything I've fed it and went bang everytime I pulled that little curved thing on the bottom. It conceals very well and is comfortable to carry. I was drawn to it because of it's size and weight. No it's not 8 rounds of .45 but it's something at least.

Ala Dan -- now that's on my wishlist ;)

The Kahrs I've seen in person (places like Gander Mountain) have been more like $600! They felt quite nice, too. I have never fired one myself, though -- they're not a common rental gun, and I don't own one.

The problem with gun-wishlists is the old tendency toward infinite desires in the face of extremely finite resources ;)

But a Kahr CW9 for that close to the price of a KT P11 -- very tempting. If I earn any play money this summer, I'll certainly put a Kahr higher on my list than I realized I could.

Dan I think I need to make a road trip and visit you :) I'm up here in North AL between Huntsville and Bham. Not too bad of a drive hehe.

You guys have a website to see what all you sell etc? Do you have a range to try certain models out? I've been wanting to try one of the Kahrs.
