Does anyone know if the Kahr MK9 ever been sold with a blackened slide? I've found a used MK9 that has a black slide but Kahr's site only shows the PM9, K9, and P9 as being available in black.

I'm thinking this one might have an aftermarket coating or has been refinished but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for any info.

Like most gun makers, Kahr has issued limited versions with options like the blackened slide.

While they may not list it now, I'm pretty sure I saw such a model listed at one time.

An email or phone call to Kahr with the serial number will tell for sure.

I just saw an MK9 at a local shop with stainless frame and blackened slide. The finish looked factory to me.

My father's elite 2003 has an all black finish. I believe the slide is carbon steel while the frame is marked stainless. I've seen a couple duotone new ones around. Might not be in the current lineup but it's been done. The thing to find out would be are these carbon steel slides or blackened stainless?

Thanks...

Thanks everyone. I believe it is a "MK9 Special Duo Tone" which is carbon steel and some sort of coating rather than the "blackened stainless" that they offer on some of their current models.

Thanks again for the replies.
