Need comparison between Glock 26 and Kahr PM9 (both in 9mm).

How is the accuracy comparable, reliability, concealed carry, feeding-extracting??

Thanks.

I believe if you owned both pistols for a year, the decision would probably come down to just two primary evaluations:the difference in triggers and the difference in weight. The PM9 is pretty small,so you need to try it on for size. The Glock is such an excellent and reliable choice,ONCE you learn the trigger technique(read reset.)Just one opinion. If you pursue the 26,read the Glocktalk FAQ section about Glock triggers. The Kahr is by no means a stepchild however, and I don't mean to infer any inferiority.

I have shot and used most Glock models pretty hard. What I need to know is how does the Kahr compare to the Glock 26? Besides it seeming to be lighter weight and also a slimmer profile?

I have used both a G26 and PM9 for years and today I only own the PM9.

I prefer the Kahr's longer trigger pull from a safety standpoint, its flatter shape and lower weight from a comfort standpoint. I found I shot equally well with both of them so went with the Kahr as I can carry it all day, under the lightest clothing (or even in my back pocket) and not even be aware of it. :D

I've owned the Glock 26 and Kahr PM9. The PM9 is flatter. In my case the Glock was more reliable right out of the box but the Kahr was fine after a break-in period. They both have very different triggers but neither for me was better or worse than the other. They were just different. I like both!

I have a PM9 and a G27 (same as G26 but .40). The PM9 is new. I've only put about 200 rounds through it. I really have to sling shot the slide on the PM9 with the intial round. If I don't it doesn't feed right, the cartridge jams at the ramp and holds the slide open. -- If I really yank the slide with that initial round it feeds fine.

Other than that, I have had no problems with it at all, even though it was in it's "break in" period. I've also found that I'm not quite as accurate with the PM9, when comparing the two. That may just be me though. --- I like Glocks, the G27 hasn't been my only one. I really do like this PM9 too. I like the trigger, the size (easier to carry), and the recoil is no problem from such a little gun. The accuracy is acceptable, but as I get more used to it, that will no doubt improve as well. --- I wanted a smaller package for summer carry. I would recommend the PM9. I may still carry the Glock in the winter, we'll see!!
