I have a CM9. I have had it for almost a month. I have shot the recommended break in and all have run flawless. I guess I would say I have 300 ish through it now. I notice the other day that the trigger would not reset. I was shooting pmc and figured it may be a ammo issue or cleaning issue. It fired fine the first 50 of the day and I thought maybe it didnt like being dirty. I came home cleaned it and took it to shoot today. I find its the trigger wont reset and has to be pulled to reset manually. I tried two different ammo before I realized that wasnt the issue. I am wondering has anyone else had this issue or have any ideas. I love this gun the DAO trigger is my favorite part but I dont feel safe with a single shot.

So you have to pull the slide to pull the trigger again, right?
I am just asking because uh .. that's normal for a DAO, kinda the point. Could you elaborate on this one?

Very possibly a bad or broken trigger return spring.
The early Kahr's had problems with breaking trigger springs, but they cured that some years ago.
Best guess: This is just one of those things, a bad spring.
This is why you shoot a gun to break it in so problems don't show up in a bad situation.

Contact Kahr and ask them to send you a shipping label so you can send the gun back for warranty work.
With the label it won't cost you shipping charges.

Kahr will repair the gun and ship it directly back to you.

Nushif no when you fire the gun you have to pull the trigger forward to get it to reset. Normally that happens during the cycle. Dfariswheel thank you I will give them a call tomorrow. I was a little worried about having to pay shipping. I have never dealt with their customer service. Sounds like everything will go well.

I was a little worried about having to pay shipping.

They, (Kahr), usually do not offer to pay shipping. You have to ask for it. They usually give to an RA, a return authorization, which is not the same as a return label. Returning through a common carrier can cost around $45 or so.

I'd clean and lube the gun, especially the trigger area, trigger bar and cam area, make sure no goo or gunk is inhibiting the trigger or trigger bar movement.

Kahr has so many guns returned for repair they'd go out business if they volunteered to pay all the overnight shipping charges. :)

Well I flushed the frame with about a half a can of non chloronated brake cleaner while working the trigger. It freed up. I will now have to take it out and shoot it and see how it runs. If that doesnt do the trick Im confident Kahr will take care of it.

Maybe not to the extent I did yesterday. Im spoiled by that other brand you just take out the box in 500the round clean the rest of the gold grease out and let it roll.

I don't own a Kahr or Glock so I don't have a dog in this fight but with said I would never shoot any new firearm without a tear down and cleaning of the factory gunk.

Every person I know who has a problem with a new gun didn't clean it first, just took it out and shot it. That factory coating usually lacquers over with heat because it's more of a protectant than lubricant.

Anyway, it's a great way to become familiar with the operation of your new purchase. Not a bad thing and you know what they say about patience. ;)

Hopefully your problems are solved and it won't require a return!

Eh, I'm not a huge glock fan, but I give them this -- they ship their guns ready to shoot. Field strip a new glock, it's perfectly clean inside, with grease on all appropriate points.
