I got my RFB back from Kel Tec a couple days ago, For those who do not know I had a catastophic failure on the gas block with the second round I fired out of the gun. Kel Tec repaired the gun and had it back to me within a couple weeks. They say she is ready to go and test fired ok. I celebrated by giving it a new Leupold VX3 2.5-8x36mm scope. Now I just need time to get her out to the range.

Well, you are definitely a brave man :)

I really want to like the RFB. An 18" .308 that is shorter than a collapsed M4 has a lot of appeal to it. Unfortunately, all I can think about is stories like yours and other Keltec stories I've read over the years and then I think that on a .308 bullpup my head is right over the chamber.

Tagging for range report. I liked the several Kel-Tecs I've had, but I think they tend to use early adopters as beta testers. I had one of the first P32s (SN<125) and it had to go back to the factory within the first couple of months. They serviced it and it worked great from then on ... but it would have been nice to have it right, out of the box. Of course, the LCP that I replaced the P32 with was also subject to a recall ...

Anyway, like Bart said--I really want to like the RFB. So looking forward to your range report!

I'll try to get to the range in the next week or two. I am really looking forward to getting this gun up and running well but things are busy right now so I have to be patient for a little bit.
