Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm fit for Glock magazines

I've been researching the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm that uses Glock magazines. So far, everything that I've read has been positive. Do any of you own this rifle (specifically, the Glock 9 mm model)? If so, what are your thoughts about it? Is it reliable? Is it durable? It looks like I can buy it for $319.

I already own a Glock 17. I have (4) 17 round mags and (4) 33 round mags for the G17. The Sub 2000 comes with a G17 mag that holds 10 rounds. I could have a rifle(carbine) and handgun that share the same mags and ammo.

Please, any help with this will be appreciated.

I had one for a while. Took it directly out to the range after purchase, and put 500 rounds thru it. No malfunctions with either the two 33 rd glock mags or the four Mdl 17 mags used.

Cleaned it and carried it in a briefcase with the two 33 rd mags for 6 months.
Sold it after the situation requiring it changed.

Don't know how durable it might be over the long haul, but I was impressed with it.

I like mine. It hasn't had any malfunctions. Those 33 rounders are great.

Cleaning it can be a little tricky but not too bad. KTOG may be a good place to look as well.

Mine has been reliable, and is reasonably accurate. The sights are AWFUL, but I figure I wont be shooting it far enough to really need sights.

Preban Mag Compatability

I have been looking at this rifile.

Does it work with NFML (non full metal lined) glock 17/19 magazines?

Since I live in NY I have to buy preban "high-cap" mags to stay legal.

Mine uses S&W mags, but it also works very well. I really like it. It rides with me often, with plenty of ammo.

The sights are AWFUL

I actually like the sights. I am able to hit very well with them.

I was able to shoot the one that donttellthewife has and they are a blast to shoot. I was surprised at the accuracy. I haven't been a big Kel Tec fan, but this gun is fun!

I don't own one, but have access to one. We take it every time we go to the range. It is a blast to shoot. It eats everything with no problems and is considerably accurate. If I didn't have one that I could use anytime I wanted, I have to buy one.

On the other hand, we have yet to find a practical purpose to own one. But who needs a reason to buy another gun, right?

I bought one as a companion to my Glock 17. I have really enjoyed it. It has been reliable and is reasonably accurate. It is a blast to shoot and is very handy to throw in the car for the road trips I take for work.

I have one. It's been a good "fun" gun. The Glock mags are the way to go, especially the 33 rounders. I also recommend them.

I agree with all the above.

The only downside (if you can call it that) is it doesnt like the "Scherer" brand 33 rounders. It has to be the Glock factory G18 mags.

I just bought one in 9mm that takes G17 mags. I purchased it because I already have plenty of 9mm Glock mags. I paid $300 for it used with one 10-round mag and 5 33-round mags.

I like the feel and I've practiced field stripping it but I haven't gotten around to shooting it yet.

I love mine. Only about 300rds through it so far with no hick ups. Only problem is now I need a good used G17. Not real fond of the glock feel in my hand, but a good weapon non the less.

I could not decide on the Sub2K or Hipoint 995. I found a guy selling both so I bought both. Shot the Sub and loved it, shot the Hipoint and sold it. Don't get me wrong for 200$ the highpoint fun and all, but for an extra 100$ the Sub is great. Gett it.

There is a rail option for the Kel-Tec Sub 2000.

I've visited 4 local gun stores and none of them has the Sub 2000 in 9mm that uses Glock Magazines. Everyone says that Kel-Tec Sub 2000's are on back order.

It took me a long while to get mine (g17 model) and the only reason I got one is that Dark Sun (Richmond, VA) took one in on trade and I was in the right place at the right time. The Glock 19 version is what I really wanted but those seem to be ever rarer.

There are some on Gunbroker and similar from time to time. That might be your best bet if you want one soon. With all the varieties and the way Keltec produces guns in batches you could wait a while for the one you want to show up in your local gunshop.

Got one and it has fed from every type of Glock mag around. Fits in the laptop bag with spare 30 round mags and a G17.
